How to Snooze the News
Lewis Black gives the dope on VNRs -- propaganda films produced to look like news reports and run by television statements as real news reports. Once upon a time the news was considered a public service, and would generally cost more money than it brought in. But now television news is often expected to turn a profit, and doing actual news costs money. So, local news producers are happy to fill the air with free content. Colber Re-plugged
YouTube.com has removed Stephen Colbert's segment from its site due to "Copyright Infringement." Funny, a lot of stuff at YouTube seems to infringe copyright, so I don't see why this is special.
