How to Snooze the News

Lewis Black gives the dope on VNRs -- propaganda films produced to look like news reports and run by television statements as real news reports.  Once upon a time the news was considered a public service, and would generally cost more money than it brought in.  But now television news is often expected to turn a profit, and doing actual news costs money.  So, local news producers are happy to fill the air with free content.
